The girls and I have been having lots of fun this summer which I guess is contributing to my lack of blogging. Elaine has been taking swimming lessons for several months. She is quite the swimmer. I don't have any pictures of her swimming or the green hair it causes but come on over if you want the proof. Charlotte and Elaine have quickly entered the "anything you can do, I can do better" phase so the competition is fierce around here. Charlotte can be heard saying "I want one" pretty regularly.
Charlotte also loves to swim but sometimes she is just as happy to have a little down time.
On top of swimming Elaine has been taking a dance class this summer. It is called a Preschool Princess class. They dress up in princess costumes and dance to Disney music. She has loved it and is always excited to go. Charlotte has been a good spectator of the class.

She is so pretty!We had a very fun 4th of July. Megan, Jessica and Matt came down to visit. The highlight of the weekend for my sisters and I was seeing Wicked with our cousins, Lori and Cindy.
Charlotte, Elaine and cousin Brennan loved playing in the dog cage. Good thing there was no dog.
These pictures do no quite do justice to the sunburn that the girls and their father had. I guess assuming the dad would know to put sunscreen on his children was too much. Live and learn.It has gotten really hot here. We are swimming and playing so much that by the end of the day we all feel like this...

Who would have thought a dog cage could make such an awesome toy? Maybe you can inherit the dog cage from us if you ever get that dog you talk about sometimes...
