I did not encourage crawling because of all the new tricks it brings. Although Charlotte has not gotten past the bottom step the rest are coming soon.

 

Elaine is very into picture taking. She composed this portrait of herself and I assisted by pressing the button.

Same Dress Different Day

In order to use the 12-18 month summer clothes I had for Elaine I have pulled them out for Charlotte. Lets face it, Charlotte is no skinny mini so they work for her. What I did not realize was how recently Elaine wore the same clothes. The pictured dress is a perfect example. Charlotte wearing it today and Elaine on 10/12/07. At this rate they will be wearing the same size by next summer. They are both so cute and unique. Having a tiny baby was nice because Elaine wore the same clothes for so long but fat babies(like Charlotte) are so squishy and sturdy.

In with the Old

It is very nice that Charlotte loves the toys Elaine has not spent much time with. It makes me feel like I have not wasted too much money. I do, however, get a little sick when I see all the clothes that Charlotte has outgrown. I apparently had a baby clothes buying fetish (0-6 months especially) and although they have been worn many times between both girls it is still a little disgusting.

Growing

These girls can no longer sit together on Elaine's "special" chair. This picture could be the last time that Charlotte is invited to try.

Charlotte has finally figured out the crawling thing. She uses her right knee and left foot to get her where she needs to go.

Although she does not pull her self to standing yet she can get herself high enough to pull all the books out of this basket. We have toys all over this house and throwing books on the floor is her favorite thing to do. How typical.

Elaine wanted to take a "pic with the click"(Diego speech obviously) so Charlotte was the subject.

Here We Are Again

I am sure we have been sorely missed. I mean, you all check this blog every hour to see into our lives, right?

We just got back from a week long vacation to Solitude Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon, UT. We had a great time. We are sorry if we did not get a chance to catch up with friends or family while we were there but we were having too much fin the "cold" weather . If you are sad you missed us, we'll see on the next trip. We promise.

Here are a few picture highlights of our time away.


Charlotte loved her cousin Bridget's exersaucer. To bad I am not a nice mom that buys these kind of toys.


Elaine felt the need to "take care" of Bridget. She has turned into quite the little mother. To see a few more pictures of all three cousins you can check my sister blog.


Elaine really go into Mario Kart at my sister Megan's house. She loved the steering wheel. The other day she was eating a bagel and said "look mom, I'm driving" as she was turning the bagel in the air.


Charlotte also loved the Wii controllers.



This is the man that Elaine loves possibly more than her own father. Uncle Matt was by Elaine's favorite person.

Elaine's friend Jake came to visit us. Poor Jake got into a fight with a rug and the rug won resulting in a broken femur.


One of the best parts of the condo we stayed in was the king sized bed. We needed it for all the people that wanted to sleep in it.


Megan wanted a picture of her with Charlotte because she has a lot with Elaine. This was quite adorable, I thought.
